Job Description

About the Role

The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) team. This role supports the LE2 Program for EGSE, working with project partners to define the future for FBM. The position involves supporting modernization efforts to improve efficiency, security, automation, and scalability, and collaborating with a team of software, systems, electrical, and test engineers using Agile Development methodology. The role is based near Lockheed Martin Space in Littleton, CO, with some teleworking options, and requires working in the office as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the EGSE Organization as a software engineer.
  • Support modernization efforts geared toward achieving greater efficiency, security, automation and scalability.
  • Collaborate with an enthusiastic team of software, systems, electrical and test engineers using the Agile Development methodology.
  • Coordinate with the product line manager and directorates to support needs.

Requirements

  • Programming experience in one or more of the following: C/C++, LabView, Python, Java, TestStand.
  • 2+ years professional experience; 0+ years with Masters degree.
  • Experience working on project teams and development efforts.
  • Experience or coursework with software development life cycle (development, deployment, retirement).
  • Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in simulation software development, software testing and validation, and software configuration management.
  • Experience developing software requirements, CONOPs, and software design.
  • Issue Tracking and troubleshooting experience.
  • Systems thinking mindset.
  • Agile methodology experience.
  • Possess strong communication, social, and problem resolution skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.
