Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop internal tools that enhance developer workflows and promote quality across engineering systems.
  • Build reusable infrastructure and libraries to support consistent and efficient frontend development.
  • Extend and integrate automation tools into custom frameworks that improve reliability and usability across teams.
  • Enhance our CI/CD pipelines with better diagnostics, automation, and feedback mechanisms for frontend engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand pain points in the development lifecycle and build targeted solutions to address them.
  • Refactor and modernize legacy systems to improve tool performance, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Approximately 2 years of professional software development experience, ideally with a focus on tooling, platforms, or automation infrastructure.
  • Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, with familiarity building internal tools or frontend libraries using frameworks like React/NodeJS.
  • Comfortable working with infrastructure and automation tools like Jenkins, and integrating them into developer workflows.
  • Familiarity with tools like Playwright, used for testing and automation systems that support developer efficiency.
  • Passionate about improving engineering quality and developer productivity through scalable tooling solutions.
  • Strong systems thinking and problem-solving skills, with a desire to make developers' lives easier through code.
  • A strong communicator and collaborator who enjoys partnering with other engineering teams to gather feedback and solve shared problems.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems for performance and scalability.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, GitHub Enterprise, and GIT.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
