About the Role

The Software Engineer IV will be responsible for building data collection tools that work with specialized hardware to collect real-world data at a large scale. The role involves addressing technical challenges related to high-quality data collection, ground truth generation for training and evaluating machine learning models such as depth estimation, object detection, scene understanding, 3D reconstruction, SLAM tracking, and occlusion modeling. The position offers an opportunity to develop scalable end-to-end pipelines that bring real-world AI applications to billions of people, within a company focused on technology and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement core data collection tooling components
Conduct design and code reviews
Maintain, analyze, and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system infrastructure
Establish oneself as an owner of a particular component, feature, or system with expert end-to-end understanding
Successfully complete projects at large scope while maintaining a high level of productivity

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Proficiency in Python or C++
Experience in developing, debugging, and optimizing user-facing applications
Experience with Linux command-line tools and shell scripting
