About the Role

Palantir builds the world's leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. As a Software Engineer at Palantir, you will drive large-scale transformation through data, AI, and infrastructure supporting mission-critical workloads. You will contribute high-quality code to platforms like Rubix, Apollo, Mission Manager, Foundry, and Athena, working within the Production Infrastructure organization to support environments such as Kubernetes-based PaaS, fleet-wide deployment systems, and observability tools. The role offers opportunities to work on impactful projects for important institutions across the public and private sectors, including civil and defense agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own every phase of the product lifecycle, from generating ideas and designing prototypes to executing features and shipping releases.
  • Work closely with both technical and non-technical colleagues to identify customer problems and deliver effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with teams on projects involving military exercises, government deployments, and vendor partnerships using Palantir's platforms.
  • Apply core SWE principles such as ownership, collaboration, and trust in daily work.

Requirements

  • Engineering background in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics.
  • Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.
  • Experience coding in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
  • Ability to write clean, effective code and learn new languages quickly.
  • Willingness to obtain or hold an active US Security clearance.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with open-source technologies like Kubernetes, Cilium, Envoy, Grafana, React, and Redux.
  • Experience working in environments that require security clearances or in mission-critical settings.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with diverse teams.

  • Educational background in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics.
