Key Responsibilities

• Planning, budgeting, and assignment of complex tasks
• Provide mentorship and employee development opportunities for the group
• Provide opportunities for technical growth of more experienced engineers
• Provide training and onboarding for new hires
• Setting, and assigning measurable goals
• Prioritizing workload, resource management and assignment of work
• Ensuring process compliance
• Assisting in providing software solutions
• Providing direction and support for IT production software turnovers
• Promoting process improvement tasks for their team

Requirements

• Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems or Computer Information Systems
• 4 years of leadership experience in project lead, team lead, or Subject Matter Expert roles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interact with various levels of employees in the organization
• Ability to lead a diverse group of employees
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Ability to drive process improvement initiatives

Nice to Have

• Experience or knowledge of agile development methodologies
• Experience with Agile Collaboration Tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Familiarity with Data Translation Standards such as IGES and STEP
• Familiarity with IT CAD tools (such as Teamcenter, Catia, AutoCAD, Parasolid)
• Developing and tracking throughput metrics
• Software development processes
