Key Responsibilities

  • Design test plans and test cases for web applications
  • Find, triage, and document bugs worth fixing
  • Conduct ad-hoc and scripted manual tests
  • Convert manual test cases into automated cases in an existing framework using Python or JavaScript
  • Investigate test failures and customer reports using logs and technical understanding to narrow down repro steps and isolate root problems
  • Ensure the product is tested at appropriate levels (unit, integration, end-to-end, API, UI), reducing unnecessary test cases and decreasing execution time
  • Drive quality processes such as bug triage, release decisions, and feature completion criteria

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as IT, Engineering, Math, Physics, or similar with Computer Science coursework or minor; Computer science degree accepted but not required
  • 1-3 years of coding experience with any programming language, preferably Python, JavaScript, or Go
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies, REST web services, or constructing basic database queries
  • Familiarity with software testing concepts and tools is a plus

Nice to Have

  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Jenkins, TestRail
  • Experience working on testing features involving AI technology
  • Knowledge of testing at different levels (unit, integration, end-to-end, API, UI)
