About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Test Engineer to join our Product Test Team at Qualcomm Inc. The candidate will be responsible for supporting test execution and automation within the Snapdragon compute environment, focusing on the identification of system and hardware stability issues across various Software and Hardware subsystem blocks on the Snapdragon System-on-Chip. This includes testing of CPUs, Cache, DDR subsystems, USB interoperability, Audio DSP, AI NPUs, UEFI tests, and Qualcomm tools such as Hexagon SDK, AI Runtime SDK, and AI Orchestrator/Agentic AI. The role involves working within Linux and Windows environments, addressing aspects like power states, graphics, neural models, and enterprise software profiles. Key Responsibilities

Perform software testing by developing effective test framework/tools, Android, or Windows applications, ensuring stability, functionality, and performance of the software.
Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases across different software components.
Conduct multi-media, AI, computer vision and security testing to validate product functionality and quality.
Perform log analysis, report, and follow up issues, working closely with technology and product teams to resolve issues.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python to streamline testing processes.
Utilize programming languages such as C, C++, and Java to support test development and execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testing methodologies and product quality.
Evaluate and analyze AI models used within the product, ensuring their influence aligns with expected functionality.
Understand and apply AI/ML fundamentals, particularly in testing and validation processes.
Perform security testing to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and threats within the software.
Collaborate within a dynamic team environment, sharing insights and contributing to problem-solving efforts using cutting-edge technologies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Nice to Have

1-3 years of experience in software testing, preferably on Android platforms.
Solid knowledge of multi-media, AI/ML, computer vision, and security testing techniques.
Proficiency in C, C++, and Java, with experience in scripting languages such as Python, shell, bash etc.
Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.
Strong team collaboration skills in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Science with relevant work experience.
