About the Role

CACI's Mastodon Design team in Rochester, NY specializes in designing and building hardware and software to meet our customers' next requirement. We focus on offering devices that can be fielded immediately to meet the mission needs that lie directly ahead. Size, weight, power, and packaging are of paramount importance in everything we design and build. Our expertise allows us to rapidly provide these solutions in specialized electronic/mechanical design, embedded & application-level software, reverse engineering & protocol analysis, and RF signals exploitation and communications systems. Successful candidates must be willing and able to obtain a security clearance and pass a pre-employment drug screen. We are currently seeking an entry level Software Tester with a strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and an ability to learn new technology quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verification and validation of software and hardware products.
  • Implement and conduct test and evaluation procedures.
  • Identify system and software problems, record defects, and report the results of testing.
  • Execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for integration, functional, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Update existing tests while working with developers testing new software as it is completed.
  • Execute tests in the field to validate performance in real-world scenarios.

Requirements

  • Ability to create test plans, test procedures, and problem reports.
  • Organized and capable of updating test plans and cases based on problem reports and customer feedback.
  • Comfortable working with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Self-starter who likes working in a team environment.
  • Solid interpersonal as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain minimally a Secret clearance.

Nice to Have

  • A strong understanding of RF fundamentals.
  • Experience with functional testing, integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Experience using Jira, Xray, Confluence, and Testrail.
  • Former EW/SIGINT system operator.
  • Familiarity with RF tactical communication systems, applications, and wireless networking.
