Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases for LiDAR firmware to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Perform manual and automated testing of firmware, including unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and regression testing.
  • Collaborate with the firmware development team to identify, document, and track defects and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze test results, providing detailed reports on the quality and performance of the firmware.
  • Document all success and failures and provide prompt feedback to firmware development team.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and establish quality metrics and benchmarks.
  • Participate as a member of the agile development team and stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies, tools, and technologies relevant to LiDAR and embedded systems.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in bleeding edge technology or autonomous driving systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for actions and decisions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a clear sense of distinguishing quality (good vs. bad) and providing justifications.
  • Proven capability to rapidly acquire new knowledge and skills.
  • Strong self-initiative and drive to achieve goals and complete tasks without requiring constant supervision.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in software quality assurance.
  • Experience using a test automation framework or test automation tool.
  • Experience in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or similar.
