Job Description

About the Role

The Sr Analyst and Researcher, HR Analytics, provides leadership, functionality, and training for the analytic and reporting tools in the company's human resources management system. The role involves analyzing employee data, identifying trends, creating business solutions, preparing reports and presentations for executive audiences, conducting research, benchmarking HR best practices, and supporting HR initiatives with data-driven insights. The position requires developing methodologies for data management and analysis, and working closely with multiple departments to improve HR processes while maintaining confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis of employee data, identify trends, and help create business solutions for corporate and Cultural and Economic Development.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on demographic information, turnover data, performance and pay alignment, and other employee-related data for various audiences including C-suite and the Board of Directors.
  • Conduct research and develop position papers for topics aligned to business and HR initiatives and strategy.
  • Develop detailed analysis with little or no supervision and provide insights to HR and business leaders based on the data and trends identified.
  • Develop and document methodology for data management, reports, and studies to ensure replication of the analysis in future years.
  • Analyze retention and pay-for-performance metrics.
  • Review and analyze existing and potential HR programs and plans for cost effectiveness and impacts on the business and employees; recommend appropriate changes.
  • Develop metrics for an HR scorecard to measure its performance and contributions to the company.
  • Build and run models for cost analysis for HR initiatives to determine ROI, budget impact, and business impact.
  • Interface with multiple departments to gather information, identify needs, and provide reports and solutions.
  • Develop HR-focused surveys for engagement, ad hoc topics, exit interviews, and analysis of third-party surveys.
  • Identify and document HR processes, introduce process improvements, and support initiatives with job aids and training materials.
  • Benchmark HR best practices and introduce them to the HR team as appropriate.
  • Assist HR with their reporting needs.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality of all work and employee information.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in math, statistics, finance, marketing, or other related field.
  • 6 to 8 years of related analytics experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of human resources practices, processes, and trends.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and other data management tools and analytical software.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, and presentational) skills.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take complex data, identify trends and root causes, and present the information in a simple, actionable fashion.
  • Ability to work with large volume of data.
  • Ability to prioritize work and provide feedback on projects.
  • Ability to work with little supervision within a team environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data modeling and statistical software.
  • Experience in HR analytics or related fields.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
  • 6 to 8 years of analytics experience or equivalent.
