Sr Android Developer - TX, USA (Remote)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Android applications using Kotlin and Java with a focus on Compose and Jetpack Components.
• Implement modern software architectures such as MVVM, MVI, and MVP.
• Write unit tests using jUnit and Mockito.
• Integrate mobile network communication libraries like OKHTTP and Retrofit.
• Participate in deployment pipelines and work with tools like GIT, Jenkins, and CI/CD.
• Utilize Crashlytics tools such as Firebase and New Relic for crash reporting and monitoring.
• Develop applications across different form factors and Android versions.
• Perform performance tuning, optimize power consumption, and implement Material UI.
• Work with dependency injection frameworks like Dagger and Hilt.
• Handle remote data via JSON and manage local data with SQLite using Room ORM.
• Use project management tools such as Rally/Jira.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working with Jetpack Compose and related components.
• 5+ years of Android development experience using Java.
• 4+ years of Android development experience using Kotlin.
• Experience with Kotlin Coroutines and MVVM, MVI, MVP architectures.
• Knowledge of mobile network communication libraries like OKHTTP and Retrofit.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as jUnit and Mockito.
• Experience with Crashlytics tools like Firebase and New Relic.
• Exposure to development across different device form factors and Android versions.
• Experience with dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger and Hilt.
• Experience working with remote data in JSON format and local data with SQLite/Room.
• Familiarity with tools like Rally/Jira.
