About the Role

The Sr. Associate, Product Analytics at Santander is responsible for using data to evaluate product performance, understand customer behavior, and recommend improvements to enhance customer experience and achieve business goals. The role involves strategic problem-solving, stakeholder influence, and delivering data-driven insights to support product and business decisions within a global financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply a structured framework (e.g., issue trees, hypothesis-driven problem-solving) to dissect complex business challenges.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis into business performance, market dynamics, and competitive benchmarks to uncover key insights.
  • Track and analyze key product metrics such as retention, churn, and conversion rates.
  • Conduct user behavior analysis and identify friction points.
  • Collaborate with product teams to inform decisions through data insights and experimentation (e.g., A/B testing).
  • Collaborate with executives and cross-functional teams to define business objectives, priorities, and success criteria.
  • Present clear, data-backed recommendations with compelling storytelling to drive stakeholder alignment and action.
  • Design and document business processes, workflows, and system requirements, ensuring alignment with long-term strategy.
  • Partner with delivery teams to implement solutions and oversee change management to ensure smooth adoption.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, IT, Applied Mathematics.
  • 7+ Years Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or Applied Mathematics.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools such as Amplitude and Google Analytics.
  • Strong skills in SQL, Python, or R.
  • Knowledge and skill in experimentation and statistical analysis.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to break down complex problems into actionable components.
  • Analytical and tactical planning skills.
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making using tools like Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in building compelling presentations and reports that distill complex ideas into actionable strategies.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of methodologies like Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma for process improvement.

  • Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in data science, analytics, or related fields.

  • The annualized salary range is $93,750 to $155,000 USD, depending on skills, experience, and location.
