The Provider Solutions within McKesson's US Pharmaceutical Segment is seeking to accelerate the impact and outcomes of our businesses by bringing on a Business Intelligence Analyst. The role involves analyzing, interpreting, and transforming broad data sets into meaningful tools, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, and driving value through strategic programs. The Business Intelligence Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert in digital solutions including PowerBI, and will support decision-making with data-driven insights and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gathers business intelligence from a variety of sources including company data, industry and field reports, public information, or purchased sources.
  • Maintains digital assets and solutions across the business unit including Alteryx, Tableau, and PowerBI.
  • Uses Structured Query Language (SQL) to gather and assess data from reporting databases, transactional databases, operational data stores, and external systems to assist leadership in decision making.
  • Translates complex data insights across customer, financial, market, and business trends into meaningful business strategies and recommendations.
  • Supports and executes large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders and helps coordinate strategic discussions with senior leaders.
  • Develops and shares content for presentations and reports, as well as supporting analytics for senior leaders.
  • Develops effective working relationships with internal clients and colleagues.
  • Applies program and statistical rigor to projects to create defensible insights and recommendations in an imperfect data landscape.
  • Identifies opportunities to optimize and automate reporting processes.
  • Stays abreast of evolving best practices and trends in data analytics.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience, including data analysis, business intelligence, or portfolio analytics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, business, finance, technology, or related field.
  • Strong usage of Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization applications such as PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Advanced Power BI expertise, including data modeling, DAX, and development of impactful data visualizations.
  • Experience with Databricks and Snowflake for scalable data processing and advanced analytics.
  • Business Financial Acumen: understanding of financial modeling and experience with financial planning, business processes, and SG&A functions.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to structure issues and determine resolutions.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to connect across workstreams and organizations.
  • Superior project management skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to generate and execute creative communication ideas.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and navigate tough situations professionally.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a self-starter attitude.
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus, but not required.

  • Degree or equivalent with typically 7+ years of relevant experience.
