Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project team members (Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, etc.) to ensure development and implementation of new data driven business solutions.
  • Understand business requirements and create design documentation.
  • Collaborate with senior technical staff and PM to identify, document, plan contingency, track and manage risks and issues until all are resolved.
  • Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms.
  • Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner.
  • Engagement in requirements definition and clarification in collaboration with Business to ensure completeness and common understanding of the business needs.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD).
  • Experience in creating data driven business solutions and solving data problems using technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Redis, NoSQL, as well as traditional data technologies like RDBMS, MySQL.
  • Experience writing complex/advanced SQL queries.
  • Hands on experience in a Unix/Linux environment.
  • Application development experience in Java/J2EE or other frameworks.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration & Development and automation tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Git.
  • Experience with Agile and Test-Driven Development methodology.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise way.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a data engineering role involving big data technologies.
  • Past experience with ML technologies like TensorFlow, Pandas.
