About the Role

We are seeking a Sr. Data Scientist, to join ART19. ART19 is pioneering the future of podcast technology, serving hundreds of millions of downloads monthly for the industry's most influential shows. Our platform provides hosting, distribution, and ad-serving solutions that power content from major networks like Wondery, PodcastOne, and Dear Media. We're proud to support shows like "How I Built This" and "New Heights" through our innovative technology solutions. ART19 believes in Audiotonomy—a philosophy that publishers and creators deserve full control of their audio experiences, to better serve their listeners. The ideal candidate will have deep curiosity and creativity to build data science based solutions, demonstrate the ability to incorporate the latest tech, tools, and methodologies like generative AI and LLMs, and have experience working with product, software engineering, and business intelligence teams.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with Product and Business Intelligence Engineers to develop, evaluate, and operationalize new metrics to measure the impact of ART19 product launches on podcast publisher needs and business outcomes.
Work on large, complex datasets to develop models which will provide data-driven insights into publisher and advertiser behaviors.
Design and deliver modern, flexible, and scalable solutions to integrate data from a variety of sources and systems across Amazon Ads.
Identify and define approaches for creating and optimizing ART19 specific models and metrics through Amazon Ads science and data ecosystems.
Collaborate closely with product leaders on deep dives that translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies.
Transform publisher data into predictive tools, experimentation frameworks, and insights that empower growth.
Operate at the intersection of AdTech, software engineering, and strategic analytics to bring scalable, data-driven products to market.

Requirements

5+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab).
4+ years of data scientist experience.
Experience with statistical models such as multinomial logistic regression.
2+ years of data visualization experience using tools like AWS QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny, etc.
Experience managing data pipelines.
Knowledge of AWS tech stack (e.g., AWS Redshift, S3, EC2, Glue).
Experience as a leader and mentor on a data science team.
Experience with design, deployment, and evaluation of Large Language Model (LLM)-powered agents and tools and orchestration approaches.
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams and drive meaningful discussions.
Passion for solving customer problems and delivering impactful projects.
Ability to operate well in highly ambiguous problem spaces and drive alignment among stakeholders.

Nice to Have

Experience with generative AI and LLMs.
Experience with Amazon Ads science and data ecosystems.
