About the Role

The Sr Data Scientist - Cloud Growth at Ingram Micro Inc is a role focused on developing and expanding the science behind Ingram's cloud growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand the science behind Ingram's cloud growth initiatives.
  • Build models, work with large granular data sets, and refine existing models to identify growth opportunities in the Cloud technology space.
  • Communicate analysis to key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Position as a Subject Matter Expert in relevant areas.
  • Mentor junior associates and manage a portfolio of data products.
  • Collaborate with a team of highly talented Ph.D.s, M.A.s, and industry experts to use advanced scientific techniques.
  • Design and execute field experiments to draw insights from market behavior.

Requirements

  • B.S. or Masters (Ph.D. preferred) in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of quantitative experience in industry, consulting, government, academics, or post-doc work.
  • Expertise in Machine Learning algorithms and supervised/unsupervised learning techniques.
  • Experience in developing propensity models at scale and applying optimization techniques.
  • Ability to work with large granular data sets, clean and pre-process data from varied sources.
  • Experience with tools such as Python, Jupyter Notebooks, SQL, R, STATA, SAS, or MATLAB.
  • Experience with GCP (BigQuery, Vertex AI) is a plus.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with partners.

Nice to Have

  • Experience developing AI Agents.
  • Experience with AI development tools.

Qualifications

  • Educational background as specified in requirements (B.S., Masters, or Ph.D.).
