Sr. Director, BSMR Analytics & Business Insights

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Establish the strategic direction for BSMR analytics, aligning with broader organizational goals, and develop governance frameworks to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality analytics solutions.
• Create processes for request intake, prioritization, and resource allocation, and establish standards for data quality, analytic methodologies, and output formats.
• Serve as the primary liaison between BSMR business units and McKesson Technology teams, translating business requirements into technical specifications and managing expectations.
• Evaluate and prioritize analytics initiatives across BSMR, monitor project progress, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
• Drive the evolution of BSMR's analytics capabilities from reporting to advanced predictive and prescriptive analytics, and develop a roadmap for analytics maturity.
• Build and lead a high-performing analytics team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and accountability, and establishing performance metrics.

Requirements

• Typically requires 13+ years of experience in data & analytics, coding, platforms, AI, or business insights, and 6+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills.
• Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree in Business, Technology, or related field is preferred.
• Experience leading analytics or data science functions with success in healthcare or pharmaceutical distribution.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams in a matrix organization and translating business needs into technology solutions.
• Proficiency with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, etc.
• Experience in building and maintaining analytics governance frameworks and leading technology transformations or major analytics initiatives.
• Strong executive presence, communication skills, and ability to translate complex technical concepts for business audiences.
• Deep understanding of data architecture, analytics methodologies, and stakeholder management in matrix environments.

Qualifications
