Sr Director, Commercial Product Strategy - HIV & EV Pipeline

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Support new and ongoing programs in HIV and emerging viruses by delivering commercial support and feedback into pipeline development.
• Lead Early Commercialization Teams to develop aligned commercial perspectives and support program strategy from pre-clinical to phase III initiation.
• Facilitate transition to inline teams for launch preparedness and potentially lead transition and launch planning.
• Develop business cases for pre-clinical assets and establish partnerships with R&D to ensure plans deliver differentiated products and commercial value.
• Support progression of R&D programs by understanding disease states, unmet needs, and treatment landscapes to define target product profiles and recommend strategic options.
• Lead early commercialization work including communications strategy, co-positioning, branding, packaging, and support services for pipeline programs.
• Establish partnerships with cross-functional teams such as Global Value & Access, Medical Affairs, and regional leadership to share insights and integrate strategies.
• Benchmark for success by ensuring development of differentiated molecules that maximize commercial value and patient reach.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of relevant leadership experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, including strategic planning and lifecycle brand management.
• Substantial experience in HIV/Virology or product development.
• Understanding of the development process and its relevant inputs, with the ability to interpret how early research and development decisions impact the final product profile.
• Strong experience in commercial evaluation of partnership and pipeline opportunities, with strong judgment and analytical skills.
• Ability to develop deep collaborations with Medical Affairs, Research, Development, Value & Access, and Regulatory teams, as well as senior leadership.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work successfully with varied audiences and executives.
• Strong analytical skills to identify and interpret complex issues and provide recommendations.
• Educational background of a B.A. or B.S.; an MBA or advanced degree in life sciences or medicine is preferred.
