About the Role

The Senior Director of Marketing for North America Partners and Ecosystem at Palo Alto Networks is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive demand, increase market share, and generate revenue within the partner ecosystem. The role involves leading a team of partner marketing professionals, collaborating with sales and cross-functional teams, and shaping the strategic direction of partner marketing efforts to support the company's mission of protecting the digital way of life and maintaining cybersecurity leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for North America Partners and Ecosystems to generate demand and revenue.
  • Lead a team of 15+ marketing professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, and accountability.
  • Drive multi-million dollar pipeline and revenue through targeted, integrated marketing campaigns within the partner ecosystem.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior sales executives, translating complex business objectives into impactful marketing plans.
  • Optimize marketing investments using a data-driven approach to ensure maximum ROI and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure brand consistency and collaboration across global and regional teams, amplifying the company's message through CSP, GSI, and ISV alliances.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of success leading marketing organizations within a tech company, including managing teams and working with partners and vendors.
  • Experience in developing innovative approaches to problem-solving and challenging the status quo.
  • Proven success as a business partner to partner sales executives and leading change during ambiguity.
  • Deep knowledge and relationships within the technology partner and ecosystem space.
  • Strong communication skills that promote diversity of voice and empowerment.
  • Ability to see the big picture, analyze trends, and communicate opportunities and threats effectively.
  • Track record of striving for excellence and delivering results consistently.
  • Experience in planning, organizing, scheduling, and budgeting with a focus on key priorities.
  • Understanding of funnel metrics and actions to improve conversion and increase pipeline and bookings.
  • Ability to develop and coach team members, set goals, and drive performance.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% for the role.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business, marketing, or technology is preferred.
  • Sales or partner sales background can be a plus.
