About the Role

The Sr. Director of Product Management for the Building Design Product Line at Autodesk is responsible for leading the product management team for Revit and related tools in the architecture, structural engineering, and MEP sectors. This role involves creating and executing a compelling product portfolio vision, managing a diverse portfolio across different lifecycle stages, and collaborating with global teams and stakeholders to deliver value to customers and achieve business outcomes. The position is hybrid remote, based in the US or Canada, with a preference for the Boston office, and requires up to 20% travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and ensure a holistic, cohesive product strategy across the architecture, structural engineering, and MEP engineering, spanning desktop and cloud technology
  • Partner closely with Industry Strategy and Sales to align on market opportunities
  • Drive focus on initiatives that positively impact customer needs, adoption, and business impact
  • Create and maintain roadmaps focused on customer outcomes, managing the plan from concept through execution, delivery, and post-release adoption and success
  • Establish and track strategic objectives, key results, and product health KPIs
  • Lead, inspire, manage, and develop a global team of Product Managers and Product Owners
  • Ensure collaboration and excellence in product management practices
  • Communicate strategy effectively with customers and internal stakeholders, facilitating alignment and handling challenging situations
  • Develop and manage relationships with customers worldwide, articulating product value and differentiating offerings
  • Represent Building Design products and Autodesk strategy at customer sites, conferences, and external venues
  • Ensure excellence in product discovery to identify critical customer problems and work with engineering to deliver solutions
  • Prioritize requirements, make trade-offs, and support release plans across Autodesk teams
  • Make data-driven decisions for product development, using qualitative and quantitative insights
  • Foster stakeholder alignment across the company to maximize joint outcomes

Requirements

  • 15+ years of relevant experience including 5+ years in software product management leadership, creating and driving product roadmaps from conception to launch
  • 5+ years of experience managing a team of Product Managers and/or Product Owners
  • BS Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working with global software engineering teams

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry
  • Knowledge and familiarity with parametric BIM tools like Revit and building information modelling processes
  • MBA degree

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields or equivalent practical experience
