About the Role

The Senior Director of Product Marketing for Hardware NGFWs and Core Security Services at Palo Alto Networks is responsible for leading the development and execution of marketing strategies for industry-leading hardware network security products and associated core security offerings. The role involves shaping the future of network security, inspiring and managing a team of product marketing managers, and collaborating across functions to deliver differentiated messaging and go-to-market initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of product marketing managers and inspire them to deliver their best in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Build differentiated, value-based messages that connect customer pain points with products and solutions, emphasizing how Precision AI delivers superior security outcomes and operational efficiencies.
  • Work with Product Management to identify key market problems and help position products appropriately.
  • Lead the creation of marketing initiatives with Global Campaigns and Field Marketing to execute on go-to-market objectives.
  • Lead the creation of strong marketing content to support all stages of the marketing funnel—from demand generation to conversion into sales qualified leads.
  • Present at internal and external events, highlighting differentiated networking and security offerings for hybrid workforce and branch offices.
  • Identify key metrics to track business performance and communicate progress to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Track the network security market and competitive landscape, focusing on AI advancements and their application in cybersecurity, in collaboration with product, marketing, and sales leadership.
  • Lead content creation for Partner and Sales enablement.

Requirements

  • At least 12+ years of product marketing or related experience, including ownership or execution of full lifecycle product launches.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading teams, supporting positioning and messaging development, go-to-market strategies, industry analyst influence, and team management.
  • Ability to break down complex concepts into simple, clear terms and deliver presentations in various environments, from industry conferences to customer briefings.
  • Strong written communication skills to develop messaging, collateral, tools, and content for customers, partners, and sales.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent military experience is desirable.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cybersecurity products and solutions.
  • Experience in marketing hardware network security products or related fields.
  • Knowledge of AI advancements and their application in cybersecurity.
