The Product Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the Process Analytical Group's product strategies to accelerate awareness, adoption, growth, and profitability globally, focusing on Variable Pathlength Solutions (VPE) for C Technologies used in critical bioprocessing applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion all aspects of product commercialization and product life management for the Solo Product line and future related platforms targeting the biopharma and CMO/CDMO markets.
  • Create and drive commercial strategy for New Product releases.
  • Manage the product life cycle for SoloVPE PLUS, software, service/support, and applications.
  • Derive strategy and tactics to ensure year-over-year business growth and strong customer satisfaction.
  • Obtain VOC that feeds improving PLM as well as new product development and/or product improvements, providing insights on customer needs for the Bioprocessing & related segments.
  • Support the global Sales organization by providing effective product positioning, sales tools, training, competitive analysis, and in-field support as needed.
  • Develop and recommend appropriate pricing and discounting strategies.
  • Assess business performance through KPI tracking.
  • Use data to drive recommendations for business decisions.
  • Derive forecasts to ensure accurate demand planning, product build, and revenue attainment.
  • Work with Operations and Customer Service to ensure on-time delivery of products and services.
  • Drive resolution of customer inquiries and complaints with internal functions including Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and R&D.
  • Liaise with Marketing to develop effective product collateral and campaigns.

Requirements

  • A BS degree or higher in a biological or engineering science discipline, with MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial product management, business management, or sales and marketing.
  • Product launch and commercialization experience, preferably with Instrument/Software/Consumables platforms.
  • PLM experience for a platform.
  • Customer-facing experience and ability to build mutually beneficial, trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Hardware new product development and product line extension experience.
  • Software experience with a working understanding of Agile software development approach.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional, matrixed teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, hold team members accountable, and obtain support across departments.
  • Strategic, tactical, and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and motivate others.
  • Team player as well as individual contributor.
  • Detail-oriented with flexibility to see the broader picture.
  • Work experience in both larger mature businesses and faster-paced environments.
  • Flexibility to travel approximately 15% or more.

  • Estimated base salary range of $120,000-170,000, dependent on qualifications and location.
