The role of Sr. Graphic Designer involves creating professional sports apparel designs, maintaining brand identity, and developing seasonal assortments to enhance individual leagues through visual storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for creating apparel graphics for our licensed sports business and leading efforts in designing against seasonal creative stories within the assortment.
Development and maintenance of presentation decks and collection boards.
Creation of non-calendared special art request graphic concepts, programs, and presentations.
Conduct local trend shopping, reference, and research for apparel embellishment techniques including screen print, heat transfers, appliques, and embroidery.
Apply intermediate to advanced typography skills for font research, development, and implementation in apparel graphics.
Maintain an active understanding of trends in sports apparel, sports/pop culture, consumer insights, new business opportunities, and competitors to influence design strategy.
Influence the design team by sharing fresh perspectives that enhance creativity and promote new ideas through written and verbal communication.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Arts or related field or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
6+ years of professional graphic design experience, with licensing or sports-related experience being a plus.
Must provide a strong professional portfolio showcasing a wide range of design skills and abilities.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to change.
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
Intermediate to advanced skills in typography.
Advanced knowledge of color theory, composition, and concept development, adhering to brand guidelines and seasonal creative stories.
Knowledge of production art processes, printing, and production processes both import and domestic.
Familiarity with project management systems.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Detail-oriented with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments.
Results-driven and solutions-focused.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the job.

Nice to Have

Experience in licensing or sports-related design.
Sports fan is a plus.
