About the Role

The Product Management Sr. Manager is responsible for attracting, retaining and developing top talent focused on assessing market needs and inspiring cross-functional product teams to find the fastest way to achieve value around those needs. The role involves guiding and executing the delivery of business value to drive sales, improve efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction through the production of quality products. The Sr. Manager works closely with teams of developers, designers, and business partners within their designated enterprise product line, leading strategy, fostering innovation, and driving change management and process improvement. They often lead senior-level Product Managers and/or teams responsible for high-impact products, communicating across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set the overall product vision and strategies for the enterprise product based on customer and associate needs to provide an unparalleled shopping experience.
  • Collaborate across the enterprise to create alignment between products to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Understand the financial and business impact of proposed product updates and activities within the portfolio, prioritize updates to support the enterprise roadmap, and allocate funding accordingly.
  • Identify goals, metrics, and analytics to measure product performance and make recommendations for improvements based on learnings.
  • Drive product development by reviewing performance and directing work efforts of product teams to ensure alignment with company, stakeholder, and end-user priorities.
  • Review and analyze product metrics to inform strategic and tactical decisions.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to Product Managers.
  • Attract, retain, and develop top talent to build a world-class Product Management team.
  • Conduct performance reviews, develop individual development plans, and provide feedback.
  • Foster collaboration with team members (Engineering, UX, etc.) to drive value and resolve impediments.
  • Advocate for the end user and stakeholder by understanding user needs and guiding product strategy.
  • Manage cross-functional team and stakeholder expectations to execute product strategy.
  • Guide junior team members in strategy, analysis, and execution tasks.
  • Participate in learning activities around modern software design and development practices.

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Mastery of working as a Product Manager in a modern software development enterprise environment overseeing multiple products.
  • Mastery of modern software development practices and agile methodologies, specifically XP principles such as paired programming, test-driven development, and continuous deployment.
  • Proficiency in communicating with and influencing technical and functional team members at all levels.
  • Proficiency in developing skills within product managers to create, prioritize, and accept user stories.
  • Proficiency in developing roadmaps and demonstrating progress against them.
  • Proficiency in explaining complex product nuances to broad, often non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in conducting user research and testing to understand needs.
  • Proficiency in identifying goals, metrics, and analytics to measure product value.
  • Proficiency in conducting competitive research and analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.

  • Experience overseeing multiple products in a fast-paced, fluid environment where priorities shift regularly.
  • Experience guiding and developing junior team members in Product Management fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in managing and growing team members in a professional setting.
  • Experience with modern software design and development core practices and communities of practice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
