About the Role

As the leader of T-Mobile's in-house SEO team, you will drive the end-to-end strategy, innovation, and performance of all SEO initiatives—focusing on accelerating organic visibility and growth across multiple platforms. You will lead a high-performing team of experts in content strategy, technical SEO, AI-powered optimization, and data analytics, championing a modern and scalable SEO program that adapts to the dynamic digital landscape. This role involves blending deep SEO knowledge with AI innovation and leadership skills, collaborating with various partners to align efforts and embed SEO into the digital ecosystem, and evaluating emerging technologies to position SEO as a core lever for brand growth, discoverability, and customer acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional SEO team spanning content, technical SEO, and AI/automation, driving collaboration, experimentation, and measurable impact.
  • Develop and communicate a holistic SEO strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives and the evolving search landscape—including search engines, voice platforms, social discovery engines, and generative AI tools.
  • Evangelize the business value of SEO across the organization, articulating its contribution to growth, customer satisfaction, and digital performance through executive-ready reporting and storytelling.
  • Build a best-in-class SEO tech stack that leverages AI and automation to scale keyword research, content optimization, technical audits, and competitor monitoring.
  • Own and evolve SEO KPIs and performance dashboards to deliver actionable insights and drive accountability across all channels.
  • Identify and address complex SEO challenges, deploying scalable solutions in areas such as schema implementation, page speed, crawlability, JavaScript rendering, and indexation.
  • Lead hiring, coaching, and development of SEO talent, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous learning.
  • Contribute to key initiatives such as new content launches, site migrations, CMS enhancements, and real-time search opportunities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of SEO leadership experience, including managing technical and content teams within high-scale digital or e-commerce environments.
  • Proven track record of driving SEO growth through content strategy, technical enhancements, and innovation.
  • Hands-on expertise in technical SEO, including schema markup, JavaScript frameworks, Core Web Vitals, and server-side rendering.
  • Fluency with modern SEO tools and platforms, including GSC, Screaming Frog, SEO Clarity, BrightEdge, Adobe Analytics, and emerging AI tools.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities to measure performance, surface insights, and drive decisions at all organizational levels.
  • Deep understanding of the evolving search landscape, including social search, voice search, visual search, and AI-generated experiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Communications, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to influence, align, and execute in matrixed organizations.
  • At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with site migrations, CMS enhancements, and real-time search opportunities.
  • Experience managing high-scale digital or e-commerce environments.
  • Knowledge of AI tools and automation in SEO.

Benefits & Perks

  • Competitive base salary and compensation package with a corporate bonus target of 20%.
  • Wealth-building opportunities including annual stock grants, employee stock purchase plan, and 401(k).
  • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Flexible benefit account, paid time off, paid holidays, tuition assistance.
  • Paid parental and family leave, family building benefits, back-up care, childcare subsidy, college coaching.
