About the Role

The Sr. Manager, Social Media at Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona is responsible for managing social media channels to support organizational initiatives, including retail, mission, and community engagement. The role involves developing and executing social media campaigns, creating digital content, collaborating with internal and external partners, and driving performance metrics to enhance brand presence and storytelling efforts within a non-profit environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage social media channels for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities to support organizational initiatives.
  • Ensure the successful building and activation of social media campaigns and promotions through development of campaign plans, creative ideation, execution, and key metric tracking.
  • Build social media content including graphics and videos that align with brand standards, leveraging expertise in design, photography, and videography.
  • Tell thrift, mission non-profit, and sustainability stories through digital content and social media engagement.
  • Partner with Marketing leadership to identify and track the effectiveness of paid social media opportunities and integrate them with other marketing efforts.
  • Build opportunities and relationships with brand ambassadors and influencers that authentically connect with the Goodwill brand, including scope of work, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Maintain campaign-specific and ongoing performance metric tracking.
  • Serve as point-of-contact for external social media vendors, assist with contract discussions and renewals.
  • Stay current with social media trends and best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal partners for logistical execution.
  • Manage team performance including coaching, discipline, performance improvement plans, and annual reviews.
  • Participate in driving company culture change efforts and change management processes.

  • Maintain regular and consistent in-person attendance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, related field or related experience, preferred.
  • Strong proven creative ability in digital graphic design, photography, and videography.
  • 5-8 years of experience managing multiple social media accounts with a large-scale employer.
  • Expertise in all social media platforms, insights sourcing and analysis.
  • Comprehensive understanding of social media analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and connect with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Expertise in digital content creation tools.
  • Excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
  • Strong expertise in digital communications and basic photography skills.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable.

  • Experience working in a non-profit or community-focused organization.
  • Knowledge of social media advertising platforms and paid media strategies.
  • Experience with change management and organizational culture initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred).
  • 5-8 years of social media management experience with a large-scale employer.
