Sr Multmedia Design - Application Skinner

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Creates and reviews graphic designs, information graphics, user interface designs, motion graphics, and interactive web designs that ensures ease of navigation and clearly communicates abstract concepts.
• Designs and reviews a variety of multimedia projects from videos, photos, audio and clip art using software applications, techniques, and tools.
• Creates and reviews 3D models, textures, effects, materials, and animates objects, characters and cameras for virtual environments and graphic design.
• Interviews clients and quickly sorts out project requirements to determine appropriate visual, textual, and animated elements of the project.
• Conceives, creates, and implements concepts, guidelines, and strategies in various creative projects.
• Edits footage, audio and creates motion graphics for video production.
• May work on public information media campaigns and company project pursuits.
• Interfaces with an interdisciplinary multimedia development staff, including close development work with content development staff as well as internal creative team for delivering high quality content.
• Organizes and administrates all forms of digital photography and video.
• Mentors lower-level designers and educates on the relationship between content and design to achieve effective communications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Visual Communications, Art, Graphic Design, or related field and 6 years relevant experience, or
• In lieu of education, 8 years relevant experience preferably in transportation, engineering, architecture, or multimedia industry.
• Proven experience as a multimedia designer or similar role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of multimedia design projects.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, Captivate, Premier Pro, Dreamweaver) and other design tools.
• Experience with web platforms such as Wordpress and Sitefinity.
• Familiarity with UI/UX principles and digital design best practices.
• Experience with video editing and basic animation.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of visual aesthetics.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS or front-end development basics.
• Photography and photo editing skills.
• Familiarity with audio editing tools.
• Ability to assist with directing and assessing videography, photography, and/or production with an artistic eye towards composition.
• Experience working with Mac and/or PC systems.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in Graphical User Interface (GUI), User Experience Design (UXD), Visual Communications, Art, Graphic Design, or related field.
• Experience with data visualization.
• Familiarity with email marketing software.
• Experience with social media software.
• Knowledge of Google Products.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Products (SharePoint, Power Platform, etc.).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphical User Interface (GUI), User Experience Design (UXD), Visual Communications, Art, Graphic Design, or related field.
