Weil-McLain is a leading North American brand of hydronic comfort heating systems for residential, commercial, and institutional buildings since 1881.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the resident expert in residential Air-to-Water heat pump products, applications and market segments
  • Position as a thought leader to clearly articulate value proposition in public speaking and other promotional events
  • Monitor and define market trends and customer needs to develop strategies for market acceptance and rapid adoption
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key market stakeholders (e.g., utilities, energy efficiency partners) and key customers (distributors, contractors)
  • Establish, maintain and grow symbiotic partnerships with strategic suppliers
  • Conduct competitive comparisons, product gap analysis and voice of customer insight capture to drive optimal product specifications and road mapping
  • Research, propose and execute product modification projects from conception through launch
  • Monitor and document field issues and recommend product modifications accordingly
  • Perform product life cycle management (PLCM) to maximize product line profitability as the category matures
  • Partner with MarComm to create compelling messaging and tools to assist sales, distributors and contractors
  • Work with R&D / Engineering to develop pre-sale technical materials for residential Air-to-Water solutions
  • Establish positive relationships with the field sales force and other stakeholders regarding go-to-market strategies and product opportunities
  • Collaborate with the sales team to track and report progress towards climate conscious decarbonization strategy
  • Partner with Sales and external training partners to ensure comprehensive product training across digital LMS and in-person programs

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in product management, channel marketing or market transformation for a growth product line
  • Experience in the Plumbing, HVAC, building products, appliances or related industries
  • Experience specific to B2B and/or two-step distribution
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business case development and product lifecycle management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Ability to organize workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong data analysis and analytics capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or Marketing

Nice to Have

  • Proven track record of leading and executing successful product launches and organic strategic initiatives
  • Experience working with external market actors and influencers
  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and building trusted relationships
  • High level of critical thinking in process analysis and problem resolution

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or Marketing
  • Master's Degree preferred
