Sr. Production Designer (Hybrid)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Construct digital files in a memory-efficient, accurate, and error-free manner, ensuring proper use of trademarks and logos, and adherence to all legal, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Apply internal standards for good typography, including proper hyphenation, kerning, line breaks, and legibility, while maintaining accurate sizes and specifications.
• Ensure all projects are routed to a Proofreader for review before presentation to the review group.
• Work collaboratively with Creative and Production Services to gather necessary information for project completion, prioritize tasks effectively, manage project timelines, and communicate any potential delays to the project manager.
• Responsible for creating design variations or entire designs as outlined by the project's Art Director.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Digital Production.
• Extensive knowledge of macOS.
• Thorough knowledge and advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, including advanced key commands, paragraph formatting, typography, style sheets, and tab fields.
• Demonstrated experience with pet food packaging die-vinyls.
• Vital experience in print/press processes and requirements, including color and pre-press knowledge.
• Must be comfortable with data asset management and workflow tools.
• Ability to color correct and retouch photos (optional, but a plus).
• A highly detailed, accuracy-based, and proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong digital file management and archiving skills.
