About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support development and delivery of our large projects with our top Northwest clients like the City of Seattle and Sound Transit. The primary focus of this role would be to support the delivery of existing mega projects, as well as supporting the pursuit development and eventual delivery of major upcoming projects. Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for development of the project scope and fee quotation and assists in the preparation of technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA).
- Serves as the primary client liaison and manages the project team to deliver the scope, schedule, and budgets to completion and to the client's satisfaction. Leads client contract scoping and negotiations.
- Performs technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.
- Implements the firm's project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project. Leads the development and the execution of the project management plan. Supervises and mentors team to overall project objectives.
- Responsible for/oversees project staffing, including recruitment, development, retention, and succession of project staff; development of plans for project staff reporting; and support for performance and compensation reviews.
- Partners with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development, building client relationships, and pursuit efforts for mega and super mega projects. Leads proposal development and interview presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 12 years of relevant experience.
- 4 years of successful management of engineering projects.
- Experience delivering multi-disciplined or large/complex projects on time, on budget, with quality and client satisfaction.
- Ability to identify and handle risk and change management independently.
- Experience leading large teams inside and outside of the organization, including managing sub-consultants.
- Proficiency with system tools to manage, monitor, and deliver complex projects.
- Experience leading project delivery processes and serving as the primary interface with clients.
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in Engineering.
- 15 years relevant experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 12 years of relevant experience.
- 4 years of successful management of engineering projects.
