Sr. Software Engineer (4386)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Python, C++, and Rust.
• Utilize Gitlab, Gitlab Runner, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts for deployments.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize Jira for project management and tracking.
• Apply DoD standards and protocols to ensure compliance and security.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a U.S. government DoD Secret Security clearance; interim or active clearance preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship and willingness to participate in a background screen.
• On-site support in Boulder, CO 5 days per week.
• BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in a software engineer position using Python, C++, and/or Rust.
• Familiarity with Gitlab, Gitlab Runner, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience working on 'badge-less' engineering teams on large National security contracts.
• Domain experience with remote sensing systems or ground architectures, especially OPIR sensor processing.
• Hands-on professional experience with Vue and React.
• Experience with Agile software development methodology.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence.
• Experience with general tools such as Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint.
• Interim or Active DoD SECRET security clearance or higher.

• Educational background with a BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.
