Sr. Software Engineer (Communications Platform)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical initiatives by driving the successful delivery of squad-level Key Results with high confidence, ensuring sustained, measurable business value.
• Decompose complex projects and collaborate effectively with peers to ensure successful execution.
• Independently execute on ambiguous, large-scale projects, proactively identifying and implementing solutions to obstacles.
• Design and deliver scalable, robust, and reusable solutions for new features and enhancements across the entire stack, with attention to sustainability, monitoring, and technical debt.
• Uphold and elevate code quality standards through thoughtful code reviews, create high-quality design documents, and establish processes for safe changes including QA and testing frameworks.
• Identify and advocate for opportunities to deliver significant impact within the squad, proposing new standards and technical improvements.
• Mentor and unblock peers, provide constructive feedback, and foster a culture of continuous learning and growth.
• Collaborate strategically with design, product, and integration partners, challenging requirements when necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience with a strong foundation in computer science fundamentals.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one major coding language and ability to work effectively across the stack.
• Experience leading complex technical projects from conception to launch, focusing on supportability and long-term maintenance.
• Proven ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, proactively identify solutions, and drive projects forward.
• Strong commitment to operational excellence and building sustainable solutions.
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build buy-in, provide timely updates, and present technical work effectively.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
