Sr Technical Program Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Document meeting minutes, decisions, and action items for publishing to the project team, and follow-up and close action items.
• Maintain and monitor project plans and schedules, and communicate project status.
• Utilize industry-accepted project management principles and tools to direct project teams in defining, planning, and executing technical projects across multiple disciplines and geographies.
• Consult with management and review project proposals to determine goals, time frames, funding limitations, procedures, and resource allocation.
• Work with project customers, sponsors, business analysts, customer relationship managers, and project team members in planning and executing large-scale IT software projects.
• Coordinate with other project resources such as customer IT staff, infrastructure providers, service teams, documentation teams, and test teams.
• Identify and manage project risk factors, negotiate and implement customer change requests, and track and report project progress.
• Provide technical, business, or functional advice to project personnel and resolve problems.
• Develop and maintain technical and project documentation.

Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree, or other STEM related degree or an equivalent in education and experience.
• PMI/PMP certification or other Project Management professional development certification.
• 8+ years of related experience and formal project management training.
• Experience with technical project management, web development projects, applications development, Java and .Net, and various platforms is preferred.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, cloud networking, and data center infrastructure.
• Understanding of firewalls, network segmentation, and cyber security best practices.
• Must complete US federal background check, drug screen, and meet requirements for access to US government facilities and/or government IT networks; US citizenship required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good judgment and prioritization skills.
• Highly motivated and energetic individual.
• Attention to detail, time management, and organization skills.
• Proven analytical abilities.
• Practical experience generating process documentation and reports.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Travel may likely exceed 50%.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active US Government security clearance.

Nice to Have

• Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio, Excel, Project, and Word.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Proven capabilities in project and user-testing management.
• Proven development of innovative and impactful systems solutions.
• Extensive experience with data visualization.
• Highly proficient technical writing capabilities.
• Agile training and development experience such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
• Evidence of continuing education, such as certifications.

Qualifications
