About the Role

The Senior UX Researcher will join the Data, Insights and Strategic Analytics team to drive user research initiatives across Fandango products and platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to generate actionable insights and inform product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead research projects from inception to completion, including study design, participant recruitment, data collection, analysis, and presentation of findings for generative and evaluative research studies on multiple aspects of Fandango products and experiences.
  • Translate complex research findings into clear, actionable insights and communicate them independently and effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and Data Analysts to inform product direction and measure impact.
  • Advocate for the user at every stage of product development and champion a culture of empathy and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Contribute to the strategic vision for UX across the company, particularly related to media consumption, personalization, accessibility, and cross-platform engagement.
  • Ensure the quality of research deliverables and maintain a high standard throughout the research process.
  • Own and drive the user research roadmap, aligning stakeholder and product needs to organizational KPIs and goals.
  • Influence strategic and tactical product roadmaps.
  • Share insights and lessons learned with other Research colleagues across Versant.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to evolve research methodologies.
  • Manage research vendors and external partners as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HCDE, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience leading UX research that has influenced product decisions in digital consumer products such as media, streaming, or content platforms.
  • A strong research portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables.
  • Experience conducting both foundational and tactical research using qualitative and quantitative methods, including surveys, usability studies, diary studies, ethnographies, card sorting, and focus groups.
  • Deep understanding of different research methods and their application during the product development lifecycle.
  • Broad familiarity with behavioral user analytics and integrating them into UX research efforts.
  • Excellent data storytelling and presentation skills.
  • Experience collaborating with and influencing senior stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in HCDE, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field.
  • Experience leading UX research within a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Strong quantitative data analysis and statistical skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills across different audiences and organizational levels.
  • 3+ years of experience working with executive leadership (Senior Director level and above).
  • 2+ years of experience managing projects in a large, matrixed organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • 7+ years of UX research experience in digital media or content platforms.
