Dexcom has an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist to provide support for the projects, functions, and strategic objectives of the Operations Intelligence Team. This is a growing team that partners across multiple functions (Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, Enterprise BI Team, R&D). Along with working to provide data for key operating metrics and insights, Dexcom is the place where you can apply advanced analytics for good in the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support for projects, functions, and strategic objectives of the Operations Intelligence Team.
  • Transform a mixture of structured and unstructured data into actionable data insights and products.
  • Build new analytic tools to quantify, visualize, and structure various data sources.
  • Apply advanced analytics to solve product or business problems.
  • Deploy real-time predictive models to production using CI/CD/CT practices.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, project managers, designers, and other team members to define success criteria and deliver solutions.

Requirements

  • 6 years of work experience using advanced analytics to solve product or business problems.
  • Master's degree in data science.
  • Experience leading multiple projects and deploying real-time predictive models to production.
  • Deep experience in deriving insights from big data.
  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing with internal and external departments.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, R, Scala, C++).
  • Experience handling and querying datasets and databases of various sizes and degrees of cleanliness.
  • Deep understanding of statistical analysis and methods.
  • Ability to independently manage and consult with stakeholders in complex projects.
  • GCP certifications (e.g., ML engineer, Data engineer).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with GCP certifications such as ML engineer or Data engineer.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 8-12 years related experience or a Master's degree and 5-7 years industry experience or a PhD and 2-4 years of experience.
