About the Role

At Unity, we're fostering a culture built on Empathy, Respect, and Opportunity. Our fast-paced and collaborative environment empowers us to tackle complex challenges, delivering real-world impact for creators and users across our ecosystem. Our Ads Applied Research team plays a crucial role in shaping the future of Unity's monetization products through cutting-edge machine learning and optimization strategies. We're looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead the next generation of user acquisition products powered by machine learning. In this role, you will own the vision, strategy and execution of ML-based campaign products - including campaign creation and reporting dashboards, and advertising tools (such as bidding and budget optimization). You'll work closely with a cross-functional team of data scientists, engineers, and designers to deliver intelligent and data-driven products that enhance campaign performance and drive advertiser growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transform business requirements into actionable machine learning solutions, ensuring alignment with measurable objectives and user needs.
  • Build and maintain product roadmaps for User Acquisition initiatives, prioritizing features and improvements that deliver the greatest value.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to implement and refine machine learning models, ensuring seamless user integration and technical robustness.
  • Lead innovation by conceptualizing, defining, and launching new ML features while staying informed on the latest industry advancements.
  • Analyze and track important metrics to evaluate product performance and guide iterative improvement.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years leading technical or ML-driven products.
  • Ability to leverage data-driven decision-making, including cohort analysis, to assess machine learning product and algorithm performance.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, algorithms, and data analysis, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and product goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large-scale data sets and deploy ML models in production environments.
  • Skilled in critical thinking and problem-solving with a focus on delivering user-first solutions.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with ad-tech or related industries, leveraging machine learning for challenges like recommendation systems or real-time optimization.
  • Proficiency in modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, including experience with DLRM/DIN/SIM, showcasing your ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and data scientists.
  • A passion for working with teammates to champion bold ideas and deliver impactful results that resonate with users.
