We're seeking a Staff Software Engineer to help lead our software development efforts and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products. This is a technical leadership role where you'll be deeply involved in both high-level architecture decisions and day-to-day coding.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of software systems for our automated material handling solutions
- Architect and develop high-performance, reliable C++ code for our control systems
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and firmware teams to integrate software with hardware systems
- Be a leader on the software engineering team
- Contribute to the product roadmap and technical strategy
- Ensure code quality, performance, and reliability through code reviews and best practices
- Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment and maintenance
- Work closely with the project implementation team to ensure smooth deployment of systems at customer sites
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 8-10 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong background in C++
- Expertise in developing software for embedded systems or industrial automation a plus
- Experience with real-time control systems and multi-threaded programming
- Familiarity with Linux-based systems and low-level hardware interfaces
- Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
Nice to Have
- Experience in developing software for embedded systems or industrial automation
- Experience leading and mentoring software engineering teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 8-10 years of professional software engineering experience
