About the Role

Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. The role involves working on specific projects critical to Google's needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the business evolves. The position focuses on building scalable, innovative solutions across areas such as information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, AI, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile development. The Cloud Product Lead Grow team's mission is to accelerate user journeys through intuitive, self-service experiences that empower customers to find, onboard, adopt, and build with Google Cloud, especially in the Generative AI market.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects.
Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers.
Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development.
5 years of experience building and developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Nice to Have

Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
3 years of experience working in an organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

Qualifications

Formal educational background includes at least a Bachelor's degree.
Experience in software development, infrastructure, distributed systems, or related fields.

Benefits & Perks

US base salary range of $197,000-$291,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
