About the Role

Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. The team focuses on handling information at massive scale across various domains including web search, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile. The role involves working on critical projects with opportunities to switch teams and projects, requiring versatility, leadership qualities, and enthusiasm for tackling new problems across the full technology stack. The specific team, Cloud Product Lead Grow, aims to accelerate user journeys through intuitive, self-service experiences that empower customers to find, onboard, adopt, and build with Google Cloud, focusing on enabling Google to reach the fast-growing Generative AI market.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects.
Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers.
Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development.
5 years of experience building and developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Nice to Have

Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
3 years of experience working in an organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

Qualifications

Formal educational background includes a Bachelor's degree or higher.
Experience in software development, infrastructure, distributed systems, or related fields.

Benefits & Perks

US base salary range of $197,000-$291,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
