About the Role

At Google, the UX Programs & Operations team drives projects within the UX organization by increasing communication and connection points, streamlining the UX design process, and fostering a culture of user-centered development. The team collaborates closely with UX Designers, Researchers, Content Strategists, Engineers, and Product Managers to create industry-leading products that deliver value for users and Google's business. As a UX Program Manager, you will combine expert project management skills with a passion for user experience to help improve product design used by billions of users, working across cross-functional teams to drive UX objectives and create innovative experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elevate operational excellence in UX teams to build trust and deliver high-impact projects through stakeholder collaboration.
  • Define program roadmaps and user-centered goals aligned with long-term objectives.
  • Oversee critical efforts for broader or cross-functional projects, programs, and strategies.
  • Advocate for the establishment of key UX metrics that drive a culture of user-centered development across a wide range of program work.
  • Manage large, complex programs into an efficient organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience managing and scaling UX related programs.
  • 10 years of experience driving operational efforts across organizations.
  • Experience managing the velocity/productivity of teams, products, and systems.
  • Experience analyzing data and leveraging insights to develop solutions.
  • Experience with UX disciplines and user-centered development tools and methodologies.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in UX disciplines, creative and campaign development, and applying user-centered tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with the product development life-cycle.
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and issues.
  • Ability to take ownership of the project life-cycle while effectively self-managing priorities.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Educational background including a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Benefits & Perks

  • Base salary range of $178,000-$265,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
  • Additional benefits as offered by Google.
