Boeing Global Services (BGS) has an exciting opportunity in the Parts and Distribution team for a Strategy and Business Development Senior Manager (Level M). This team is responsible for the strategy and growth of our parts and distribution business by identifying and unlocking new opportunities. The Senior Manager will be responsible for managing a team of Strategy and Business Development specialists identifying, evaluating, and managing significant growth projects to bring new products and services to the market in Plano, TX.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of talented Strategy and Business Development professionals.
  • Identify, evaluate, recommend, and prioritize new business opportunities through organic and inorganic investments.
  • Define, develop, and deploy new products and services, and/or enhancements to existing products, to address customer needs by leveraging Boeing's strengths and competitive advantages.
  • Identify, validate, and implement appropriate business models, whether known or novel, to enable the success of new or enhanced Boeing products and services to address customer requirements and needs.
  • Develop and lead collaboration with third parties where required to maximize value.
  • Apply project management best practices, tools, and structure to lead integrated teams, including Finance, Supply Chain, Contracts, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Manage a team of experienced professionals.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams and executive leadership in a matrix organization.
  • Manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously.
  • Constructively engage with colleagues across the enterprise.
  • Deal with a highly ambiguous business environment.
  • Communicate effectively and skillfully present to senior audiences including management and executive leadership team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher, with a minimum of 12 plus years of work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in Strategy, Business Development, Corporate Development, Sales, or Supplier Management.
  • 5+ years of experience in Aerospace.
  • 3+ years of formal management experience.
  • Ability to travel to support business and team requirements (approximately 10%-25%).
  • Understanding of the current commercial aerospace services market landscape, specifically the commercial parts market.
  • Understanding Boeing's existing services portfolio, market positioning, organizational structure and stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • MBA highly desired.
  • Business Development experience.
  • Strategy or Consulting experience.
  • Commercial aviation aftermarket, parts and distribution experience.

Qualifications

  • Formal management experience of at least 3 years.
  • Experience in Strategy, Business Development, or related fields.
  • Experience in Aerospace industry.
