Student Marketing Officer (RebelsCU - UNLV)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and execute an annual marketing strategy that supports the business strategy.
• Create marketing materials for advertising, promotions, and events.
• Maintain and update the RebelsCU website's promotional content.
• Manage social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, establishing content strategies, KPIs, and providing reporting and recommendations.
• Organize and lead on-campus promotions and events, including membership drives, appreciation events, and financial literacy programs.
• Develop and facilitate financial literacy events or programs.
• Engage with campus partners such as student clubs, residence halls, university organizations, and faculty to expand RebelsCU's presence.
• Research and develop strategic projects and campaigns aligned with the RebelsCU College Strategy.
• Promote RebelsCU and its services to students, faculty, and staff.
• Assist members with ATM usage, digital banking, account opening, and basic transactions.
• Encourage students to become members and inform them of new products and services.
• Support communication between RebelsCU and the University and provide ideas for business growth.
• Learn internal software systems and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Must be a current student attending UNLV and committed to the full duration of the program.
• Must be organized, professional, customer-focused, and maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-directed and able to work independently without supervision.
• Ability to engage actively in team meetings, conference calls, and events.
• Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
• Attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing websites and social media platforms.
• Experience in creating promotions, events, social media campaigns, or sales tactics to create awareness and interest.
• Good standing credit and bondable pursuant to NCUA regulations.

Nice to Have

• Experience with community engagement and event organization.
• Knowledge of financial literacy education.
• Experience with market research and focus groups.
• Familiarity with internal software systems used in banking or credit unions.

Qualifications

• Part-time or full-time student in good standing.
• Involvement in extracurricular and community service activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and graphic design tools.
• Experience managing websites and social media platforms.
