About the Role

Interns will aid the Extension Plant Pathology Specialty crop group in generating material for social media and reference resources. Students will be required to create videos, infographics, and other communication materials for various plant diseases. Applicants are not required to have previous knowledge of plant pathogens or diseases. Working hours are flexible, and a portion of the work can be completed remotely, depending on the applicant. We are seeking highly motivated and creative applicants for this position who can work independently and bring fresh ideas to the team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using cameras, microphones, and other filming equipment, as well as proficient in audio and video editing software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create videos, infographics, and other communication materials related to plant diseases.
  • Generate content for social media and reference resources.
  • Work independently and bring fresh ideas to the team.
  • Utilize cameras, microphones, and filming equipment effectively.
  • Edit audio and video content using appropriate software.
  • Use photo editing and graphic design software to produce communication materials.

Requirements

  • Actively enrolled at UK or BCTC.
  • Experience using cameras and other video and audio equipment.
  • Able to utilize audio and video editing software.
  • Experience with graphic design and photo editing.
  • Highly motivated and creative with the ability to work independently.
  • Comfortable working with filming equipment and editing software.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledgeable with audio and video editing, graphic design.

Qualifications

  • No specific formal qualifications required beyond being actively enrolled at UK or BCTC.
