The Supplier Analytics Manager is responsible for creating and managing a formal cadence of financial review and strategic growth plans with suppliers, providing pivotal financial and market information to support negotiations, and developing KPI-driven strategies for suppliers within the Strategic Procurement and Sourcing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops a formal account management strategy to plan and manage strategic discussions with National Brand suppliers, including initial contact, meetings, reviews, and exchange of market information.
  • Plans, prepares, and manages content of business reviews and follows through on deliverables.
  • Assesses suppliers against established KPIs and prioritizes development efforts.
  • Develops and manages a comprehensive view of key manufacturers including global business, pipeline, marketing activities, P&L, products, service providers, and competitive landscape.
  • Develops strategies and tactical plans focused on revenue and margin growth for the National Brand OTC and GPG category.
  • Collaborates with Category Management to optimize market share and identify opportunities based on performance.
  • Evaluates profitability by market and category to determine ROI.
  • Partners with Category and Marketing teams to analyze sales trends and ensure revenue capture per existing agreements.
  • Protects AOP by ensuring proper execution of pricing, billbacks, and chargebacks.
  • Escalates risks to sales when AOP is at risk from sell side loss.
  • Monitors category budget and forecast, assists in financial planning.
  • Leads work with stakeholders to gain alignment, enhance revenue, and manage risks.
  • Collaborates with inventory, finance, and sales teams to develop risk analyses impacting P&L.
  • Investigates supplier P&L losses and develops mitigation plans.
  • Partners with FP&A for revenue recognition and monthly reconciliation.
  • Evaluates supply chain losses and assesses existing rates to prevent absorption of losses.
  • Coordinates with internal stakeholders to assess, validate, and obtain approval on negotiation terms.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve AOP and yield, focusing on reverse logistics, inventory, and service levels.
  • Conducts reconciliations and investigations to address root causes of P&L losses.
  • Evaluates supplier profitability across categories and provides financial analysis for portfolio management.
  • Creates cost-benefit analyses for strategic opportunities with suppliers.
  • Communicates and collaborates with Procurement Operations to ensure agreement execution and timely funds collection.
  • Partners with SIOP team to identify accurate cost-to-serve metrics.
  • Maintains expert knowledge of supplier financials, supply chain, and market landscape.
  • Fosters relationships with suppliers through ongoing communication and reviews.
  • Stays informed of market and industry trends.
  • Promotes collaboration and sharing of best practices across the team.
  • Acts as a McKesson ambassador of corporate values.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7+ years of combined experience in finance, business analytics, strategy, project management, strategic negotiations.
  • Minimum 2 years work experience with Tableau and PBI dashboards.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in SAP.
  • Critical skills include strong business acumen, negotiation skills, KPI-driven mindset, financial and data analysis, and strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across various levels of management and functions.
  • Knowledge of MS Office products, highly advanced Excel skills, understanding of procurement, inventory, and supply chain management.

Nice to Have

  • Inventory management experience.
  • Healthcare manufacturer or wholesale experience.
  • Dallas/Ft. Worth based candidates highly preferred.

Benefits & Perks

  • Competitive compensation package as part of Total Rewards.
  • Pay range: $103,400 - $172,400.
  • Additional compensation such as annual bonus or long-term incentives may be offered.
