System Test Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the testing of both new and existing applications for the Command and Control Systems - Consolidated (CCS-C) ground system.
• Preparing and executing formal acceptance tests and evaluating software maintenance changes.
• Collaborating with developers and integrators to determine appropriate validation and regression tests.
• Communicating test status effectively during test periods.
• Applying software configuration management practices in testing activities.
• Supporting on-site technical advisory team with user acceptance testing and problem diagnosis.
• Developing and improving operation procedures and scripts for system testing.
• Defining and proposing SATCOM operational and operator requirements and design approaches.
• Interfacing with the customer and operational users to define operational requirements.
• Working effectively with a cross-functional engineering team.

Requirements

• Software testing background.
• Understanding of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Ability to effectively communicate with team members, customers, and vendor support.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently and with others.
• Ability to articulate technical concepts orally and in written form.
• Current Security+ Certification or required within 6 months of hire.
• Current Secret level security clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance or currently hold one.
• Experience or knowledge in telemetry and commanding of spacecrafts.
• Familiarity with EPOCH Product Suite.
• Knowledge of Command and Control Consolidated (CCS-C) system.
• Knowledge of Air Force Test Regulations and experience in Air Force formal testing is a plus.

Nice to Have

• 5 to 7 years' experience in telemetry and commanding of spacecrafts.
• Experience with EPOCH Product Suite.
• Knowledge of Air Force Test Regulations and formal testing experience.

Qualifications

• Current Security+ Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Current Secret level security clearance, with eligibility for TS/SCI.
