Job Description

About the Role

Join our Aura technical team as an Android QA Engineer, where you'll be committed to delivering top-tier quality to major Telecom Operators and OEMs with every release. In this role, you will perform rigorous manual testing on both new and existing features to ensure a consistent and reliable user experience, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve critical issues and maintain overall product quality and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Partnerships Managers, Business Analysts and Developers to ensure comprehensive requirement coverage and effective test planning.
  • Perform manual QA testing on Android devices, validating features, configurations, and preloaded applications.
  • Ensure consistent product quality across partners and offerings by identifying, tracking, and resolving issues throughout the development cycle.
  • Work directly with clients and external QA teams to troubleshoot issues, provide guidance, and deliver timely solutions.
  • Investigate production alerts, monitor performance post-launch, and escalate concerns to the appropriate teams for resolution.
  • Support multiple projects and testing efforts simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in QA and manual testing, ideally in mobile and Android environments.
  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle, agile/lean methodologies, and test management best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and recommend solutions.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality user experiences.
  • Ability to think critically and creatively—challenging release quality, exploring edge cases, and going beyond predefined scenarios.
  • Comfortable working on-site in Bellevue to access testing equipment and devices.

Nice to Have

  • SQL experience.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages.
  • Experience working with mobile carriers.
  • Experience with ADB commands and Android Studio.
