Job Description

About the Role

You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (AIRCRAFT) in the TEST and EVALUATION MANAGEMENT for PROGRAMS and OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT, NAVAL TEST WING ATLANTIC RESOURCES and OPERATIONS DIVISION of NAVTESTWINGLANT NWCF.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor aircraft maintenance programs, conduct Quality Assurance inspections, prepare correspondence in support of the program, provide research and analysis to determine trends, and develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Execute the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP), support maintenance concepts, and maintainability requirements for VH-92.
  • Exercise management control and direction over the quality assurance programs, planning, implementation, and execution of modification programs and maintenance programs.
  • Serve as the liaison for the Naval Aviation Technical Engineering Command (NATEC) contract requirements.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of the ground safety program within the VH-92 team.
  • Provide safety briefings to GFTD, CO HX-21 and PMA-274.
  • Recommend changes to basic Presidential Helicopter integrated logistic support management policies and procedures, and initiate action to incorporate approved changes into existing world-wide integrated logistic support programs.
  • Act as the alternate Ground Government Flight Reprehensive (GGFR), and provide feedback to optimize logistics support in maintenance and supply support areas.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in applying principles of quality assurance, maintenance, supply support, and logistics management.
  • Experience in conducting Quality Assurance inspections.
  • Experience providing research and analysis to develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Experience with Research, Development, Acquisition, and Test & Evaluation for a platform/system.
  • Must obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% for occasional travel.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with aircraft maintenance programs and safety programs.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of logistics management and maintenance support.
  • Experience working with the Naval Aviation Technical Engineering Command (NATEC).

Qualifications

  • At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to GS-12 in quality assurance, maintenance, supply support, or logistics management.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply principles of quality assurance and conduct inspections.
  • Experience supporting Research, Development, Acquisition, and Test & Evaluation for a platform/system.
