Automation Test Engineer, Mid

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Work with testers, developers, and engineers to evaluate software developed for the Navy.
• Create a test plan with test cases based on user stories.
• Use automated and manual processes to generate data and implement test cases to observe software performance.
• Document test results and communicate defects to the development team for resolution.
• Automate continuous security and performance testing.
• Monitor the health of Naval digital modular radios.
• Write code to automate testing processes.
• Further experience in waveforms and human machine interfaces (HMI).
• Explore new areas such as automation, cloud computing, AI, and ML.
• Travel to test events and conduct waveform testing.

Requirements

• Experience with developing scripts to automate testing or enable rapid test environment configuration for tactical radios on a DoD project.
• Experience with developing test procedures to assess software implementation of waveforms.
• Experience with designing and building human machine interfaces (HMI).
• Ability to travel to test events and conduct waveform testing.
• Secret clearance.
• HS diploma or GED.

Nice to Have

• Experience with performing testing and evaluation on Digital Modular Radios for the Navy.
• Experience coordinating Navy project testing with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience working in a lab environment for a Navy project.
• Bachelor's degree.

• Bachelor's degree (preferred).
• Secret security clearance.
