About the Role

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is a world leader in interconnect solutions for Communications, Mobile, RF, Optics, and Commercial electronics markets. The company designs and manufactures electrical, electronic, and fiber optic connectors, interconnect systems, antennas, sensors, and high-speed specialty cables. ACS has an expansive global presence in research and development, manufacturing, and sales, serving diverse applications including data centers, mobile, RF, networking, industrial, business equipment, and automotive. The position is based in Hamden, CT, within the High Speed Products Group, which specializes in high-speed, high-bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market, supporting major Tier 1 OEMs worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with cross functional teams to drive the development and marketing of Amphenol's High Speed Cable product family.
  • Promote products to assigned markets, win key new design opportunities, and develop/executing product strategies to support the Product Development and NPI teams in pull product portfolio management.
  • Manage P&L responsibility for all product families across all wire and cable categories.
  • Drive and manage high-speed, high data product lines through product roadmap creation and execution.
  • Develop production ramping plans, manage costs, pricing, and margins.
  • Oversee product portfolio management and product development process management.
  • Conduct cost modeling to develop cost targets, implement regular cost reductions, and develop pricing strategies.
  • Drive new business opportunities by aligning business unit and sales strategies to win market share.
  • Define customer and market requirements for product family, timing, and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with marketing, engineering, business development, and operations to identify product and solution gaps and define market requirements.
  • Develop marketing materials and promote products to industry and potential customers.
  • Work closely with HSIO Cable and CBS teams to align bulk wire development and go-to-market activities.
  • Achieve site KPIs related to sales revenue, product margin improvement, cost reduction, design wins, and response time to quotes.
  • Travel as needed for customer visits, sales negotiations, factory visits, and trade shows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with keen business acumen.
  • 4+ years of product management, project management, engineering experience, and/or technical business development experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in the interconnect industry preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Effective use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Power-BI and/or other data visualization software.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams globally and a willingness to 'roll up your sleeves' to get the job done.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in the interconnect industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
