About the Role

The Technical Product Manager is responsible for the overall product management of Rotary's Events and Learning Management solutions. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, designers, and engineers to identify pain points, document requirements, develop user stories, and prioritize the product backlog. The Technical Product Manager will work closely with the development team to achieve sprint goals effectively and efficiently. In this role, you will tackle the challenge of managing multiple products and the technical complexities of Rotary and third-party data integrations. Your work will have a profound impact, driving participant-focused solutions, leading market innovations, and enhancing product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing product strategy and roadmap for events and learning applications.
  • Managing requests to expand or redesign existing products.
  • Gathering market intelligence and participant research.
  • Collaborating with UX designers to identify new product opportunities.
  • Collaborating with scrum master to prepare and lead product incremental planning events.
  • Overseeing product performance and proposing improvements.
  • Developing business cases for new product features.
  • Creating and communicating backlog items (user stories).
  • Monitoring, triaging, and investigating production issues.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to prioritize backlog items.
  • Prioritizing and sequencing stories to maximize business value.
  • Processing and analyzing product feedback from stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with IT back-end teams and shared services.
  • Analyzing product requirements, dependencies, and constraints.
  • Conducting demos for stakeholders.
  • Performing UAT and accepting user stories.
  • Coordinating upgrades or data integration changes with eSaaS vendor.
  • Setting product baseline KPIs and aligning with business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in product management, technology, business, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience as a product owner of web/mobile applications, with Agile values and mindset.
  • Experience coaching and leading teams to adopt agile best practices.
  • Strong technical acumen and system thinking.
  • Proficiency in Confluence and JIRA.
  • Consumer-centric focus with experience in user experience management.
  • Ability to articulate complex problems and solutions simply and logically.
  • Effective requirement elicitation and analysis skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated.

Nice to Have

  • Certified in Scaled Agile - SAFe Product Owner (PO/PM) is a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree in product management, technology, business, or equivalent experience.
